‪‪MS Dhoni‬, ‪Padma Bhushan‬, ‪India‬, ‪Padma Shri‬, ‪Ram Nath Kovind‬‬

MS Dhoni made India the world champion, 7 years later, Padma Bhushan honored on the same day. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor on Monday. The award was given to the President by President Ramnath Kovind. In honor of the honorary post of Lieutenant Colonel, Dhoni had come to Rashtrapati Bhavan to take Padma Bhushan's honor in the army's dress.       
                                                                                 


                                                                                                                                                                   Interestingly, the Indian cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in 2011 and won the ODI World Cup title on 7th April, 7th day, ie, on the day of Dhoni's captaincy on April 2. On this day he got Padma Bhushan. Apart from Dhoni, billiards player Pankaj Advani was also honored with Padma Bhushan.      
                                      

Dhoni was earlier honored with the country's highest sporting honor, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2007, while Padma Shri, the country's fourth highest civilian honor in 2009. Like Dhoni, Advani has been very successful in his game and he won gold medal in the 2006 and 2010 Asian Games. Prior to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, 10 cricketers have received this honor. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Chandu Borde, Pravesen DB Deodhar, CK Nayudu, Lala Amarnath, Raja Bhalender Singh and Vijay Anand have received this honor.
